Excerpt
He wasn’t much older than me. His ginger-colored hair was alive in an unkempt manner that made him look both stylish and scruffy. He wore a battered leather jacket and skinny jeans. His kicks were a pair of powder blue Nike Air Pythons that perfectly matched the color of his eyes. And seriously, I would’ve sworn his eyes were Photoshopped, except there he was, live and in person right in front of me.
He smiled. His cheeks dimpled and the corners of his eyes wrinkled, and it took my breath away. A warm feeling started in my toes, moved up over my knees and into my torso, causing my stomach to do a double-twisting Yurchenko off the pommel horse and stick the landing.
OMG! This is the boy. The one I’d been waiting for.
I wanted to kiss this boy.
Julia teased me relentlessly but the truth was I’d never kissed a boy.
Ever.
I had never had the “feels” before, but I knew I had found The One. The boy I wanted to share my perfect, first kiss.
Unfortunately I didn’t have time to tell him before I dropped to the floor. Unconscious.

Favorite pop star moment: My husband works in the music industry. He took me to see Mike Posner at the Roxy last month. I didn't know he was from Detroit just like me. So when I met him after the show, I put my hand out and said, "Hi. I'm from 14 mile and Telegraph." And he smiled and said, "13 mile and Evergreen." Then we talked about family and our vacation homes "up north." He was so sweet.
Favorite city: London is, was, and always will be my favorite place on earth. I was there for a summer semester in college. I loved everything about the city. I took the tube everywhere and walked through every museum. I remember having blisters on my feet the entire time I was there.
Favorite TV show: Fixer Upper. I desperately want to be besties with Joanna Gaines. Not kidding. Let me know if you can hook me up. I love her sense of style, and how devoted she is to her kids, and how she loves her crazy man.

Favorite airport: I'm not a huge traveler -- but I love the Las Vegas airport. Maybe because it's the gateway to and from a place that is so much fun, but I always find that it's easy to move around and a great place to people-watch.
